Terms & Refund Policy

These terms apply to the PromptMeter extension, website and licences, provided by Krunal Dabhi, an individual developer based in India ("we", "us"). By installing PromptMeter or buying a licence you agree to them.

1. The product

PromptMeter is a VS Code extension that estimates token usage and costs of Claude Code prompts from log files on your computer, and suggests ways to use fewer tokens. Figures are estimates based on local logs and configurable prices; they are not invoices and may differ from what your provider bills you.

2. Licence

• The free version may be used for personal and commercial work at no cost.
• Paid features require a valid licence key. A licence is personal to the buyer and may be activated on up to 3 of your devices at a time.
• You may not resell, redistribute, or publish modified copies of the extension, or work around licence checks.
• The open-source parts (for example the log parser, once published) are covered by their own open-source licence.

3. Plans and payments

• Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as our merchant of record and handles billing, taxes and invoices. Its terms of sale also apply to your purchase.
• Pro subscriptions (monthly or yearly) renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period.
• Prices may change for future billing periods; we will tell existing subscribers in advance.

4. Founding lifetime offer

• A one-time payment that grants Pro features for the lifetime of the PromptMeter product, including Pro features added later.
• Limited to the first 100 purchases. Separately sold add-ons (for example the Agency add-on) and team plans are not included.
• Pro features are in development. Founding members receive beta access now and Pro features as they are released.
• "Lifetime" means for as long as we offer PromptMeter. If we ever discontinue it, we will give at least 90 days' notice and make the last version available to founding members.

5. Refunds

• Founding lifetime: full refund on request until 30 days after the public Pro launch — no questions asked.
• Yearly Pro: full refund within 30 days of the first payment.
• Monthly Pro: cancel anytime; we refund the most recent charge if you ask within 7 days of it.
• To request a refund, write to our support email with your order email. Refunds go back to the original payment method through Lemon Squeezy. Refunded licences are deactivated.

6. Beta software

PromptMeter is currently in beta. Features may change, and bugs are expected. Please report problems so we can fix them.

7. No warranty and limitation of liability

PromptMeter is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions made based on estimates shown by the product. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Trademarks

PromptMeter is an independent product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic. Claude and Claude Code are trademarks of Anthropic, used here only to describe compatibility.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Nothing in them limits rights you have under the consumer laws of your country of residence.
